Read Spooky
GR Lit Fest is excited to partner with the Grand Rapids chapter of Silent Book Club to host Read Spooky!
Join us for an October Silent Book Club meet up at Oakhill North Cemetery on Saturday, October 17th from 1pm-4pm.
Bring whatever book you‘re reading, a picnic blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy an autumn afternoon with your fellow book lovers. The cemetery has walking paths if you prefer listening to an audiobook while strolling the grounds.
We‘ll bring the cider and donuts!
Horror and Thriller Author Panel
Do you love stories that keep you up at night? Are you drawn to the dark, twisted corners of fiction where suspense and fear intertwine? If so, I’ve got thrilling news: I’m hosting a Horror & Thriller Author Panel, and you’re invited!
Join me for a chilling conversation with Jessica Gomez, Alex Ebenstein, M.D. Labelle, and Samantha Moran. These authors know exactly how to hook readers, raise heart rates, and leave us sleeping with the lights on—and they’re pulling back the curtain on how they do it.
This event is part of GR Lit Fest. RSVP here.
*This event is 21+ and a one drink minimum is required.
Author Talk: How to Survive in a Chaotic Climate
I’ll be hosting authors Aimee Lewis Reau and LaUra Schmidt for an eye-opening conversation about their groundbreaking book, How to Survive in a Chaotic Climate. Blending personal insight with practical tools, they explore what it means to live, adapt, and take action in a world facing environmental uncertainty. From climate grief to community resilience, this talk will offer guidance, inspiration, and a space for honest dialogue about our collective future. Whether you're a longtime activist or just beginning to ask questions, this event is for anyone seeking clarity and courage in chaotic times.
